somewhat simple // 2015 journal jar

I've loved doing this with my family for the past 2 years now! From the crazy moments like my son turning 12 (WHAT?!) and my daughter turning 8 and getting baptized (FOR REALS?!) to the awesome moments like finally being cancer free, and being a witness to all the little miracles that were associated with that journey.

I'm hoping that 2015 will be a little less dramatic, but I'm ready to document it all! Are you? ;) Grab your free label + journal cards here. --xoxo

rs temple activity + free printable

[In my church, I am the second counselor in our Relief Society Presidency, which is the counselor over the monthly activities.]  This month, we decided to do a White Night.  In preparation for the Gilbert AZ LDS Temple open house, our goal was just to have an evening to sit together and learn a few things about Temples.  All while having fun as sisters, of course.  ;)

// We asked that each of them wear something white
// We brought a computer + played this Temple Jeopardy Game [ps - I was uber embarrassed by my lack of Temple trivia knowledge]
// We had the sisters share some of their thoughts/stories about how the temple has blessed their lives.
// We ate pretzels + oreos dipped in white chocolate, along with powdered donut holes
// And handed out these:

What I love about these handouts is that it's not just for Relief Society - it's perfect for all ages! Want to make these yourself? Just click HERE to download the word doc I created.  It holds 10 handouts to a page.  All you need to do is cut out, staple a mint on it [I used the Lifesaver Wint-o-green flavor] and you're set!

Hope you have a great week! --xoxo

somewhat simple // 2014 journal jar

We did this last year as a family, and LOVED it! Moments like my son taking 3rd place in the pinewood derby, my daughter's first piano recital, my son's first orchestra concert were recorded, but my favorite were the funny things my kids said. Like when my daughter called moles boobs (it was a really awkward conversation at first), or when she asked if clouds pooped snow, or when my son exited the bathroom in just a towel and said "Nothing to see here" when we made eye contact, etc.

I'm hoping 2014 will be just as awesome. Is your jar ready? Get the label + journal card here. -xoxo
